C2700 has good ductility and cold workability, and its strength increases with processing. It also has good bendability and drawability, making it widely used for complex processed products and deep-drawn items. Extrusion processing is a hot working method in which a cylindrical mass called a billet, made of brass alloys or aluminum alloys, is heated and pressed against various shaped dies using an extruder at high pressure, producing elongated products by forcing the material through the die opening. C3771 (forged brass, PBBs2)

C3771 is also known as forging brass and is the most suitable brass for hot forging.

It is easy to forge complex shapes, and the internal structure consists of dense metal crystals. The forged structure is sufficiently broken down by the extrusion process, resulting in metal flow along the forged surface, which gives it excellent mechanical properties.
